Case Studies

Espreciso

The problem: Users make coffee on average 3 times a day. Notes are messy to look back on and draw conclusions from.

The goal: Create an app for home coffee brewers to be able to record their daily brews, view past brews and connect with other coffee enthusiasts in a community space.

The product: Espreciso is an app for home coffee brewers who want to record their attempts at making their perfect brew

Skills I developed: User Research, Creating Personas, Sketching, Wireframing, Low-fi prototypes, running Usability tests, High-fi prototypes, Figma, Mobile App Design, defining KPIs and success metrics.

Accessibility considerations (WCAG): Distinguishable: Colours used on the app passed the WCAG guidelines on contrast ratio (6.58:1). Navigable: App sections have titles that describe topic or purpose.

Verisart

Web3 tools to sell NFTs and protect against fraud.

Mapping the different user flows of the product to have a general view of the business.

Understanding the User - Who are they / Why are they using the product / What matters to them?

Defining the goal and success metric of the new product experience

  • Verisart is to NFTs what Vestiaire Collective is to second hand luxury clothing.

  • Solving: “How do we become a safe place where collectors come to buy authentic art.”

  • Goal: Get collectors to sign-up to Verisart.

  • Success metric: conversion from view to new account.

Ideating - flows focused on getting users to sign up

Context: a lot of collectors that received certificates need to be captured by Verisart as they are their target audience (NFT buyers).

Opportunity: there is an easy way to make an impact by converting collectors from viewing certificates to signing up.

Prompt: design a mobile product experience for viewing a certificate and signing up to Verisart. Design this experience for a Collector, not a Creator.
